My name is Ge Jie, I am a construction
budget.as a new employee, I am proud to be part of the Linkage Project of New
Energy Engineering Co,Lid,OF CCCC Third Habor Engineering Co,Lid(Shanghai). On
behalf of the company, I am delighted to take part in this competition.
Itisalways a pleasurefor me to have an opportunityto exchange ideas with
ourleaders and workers
As we all know, our enterprise is a
professional company in the field of offshore wind power.now,I have a question.do you know
offeshore wind power ? yes or no ?ok,let me make a explaination ,offshore wind
power is a technology that make use of wind turbine to transform wind energy
into electricity.Combining rich wind energy resources and feasible technology ,
offeshore wind powerhavebecome a rapidly developing marketin recent years.
today the project whichI am about to
introduce is aoffshore wind power project: Zhuhai Guishan Offshore Wind
farm, which was just built by our company. The project is located in Wanshan
District, Zhuhai, Guangdong ProvinceIts construction cost is 222.53 million
yuan, and the installed capacity of this wind farm is 102MW(何时开工,历时多久)The project not only adopts the installation of aeeembled parts
technology but also covers two types of wind turbines. This wind farm, which aims tosolve the surrounding
island electricity dilemma.is alsoone of the key projects forthe construction
of offshore wind power of China Communications ConstructionThird Habor
Engineering Co,Lid,
Moreover, it adopts the foundation of steel
tubular jacket, and it is also the first structural foundation of this type
used in China. There are four key points in the construction of steel tubular
jacket:Extremely high requirements forweldingquality and piling accuracy,Underwater
frequency modulation and Underwater grouting.
In the process of the construction, we
explored the “completed sets of technology research and application of offshore
wind turbineinstallation” theory, which has been subject to the appraisal of
China Water transportation Construction Association. After the eva luation, the
association identifies that someof our products lead the world.
During the construction, there was an
episode.ten days before the super typhoon “tiange” struck, Mr Dong Jie—mangerof
the project, accurately predicted that the typhoon would pass through the
construction area of the project, according to his many years experience in
offshore operations. Therefore, he quickly took measures and avoided asset
losses successfully.
How amazing!
The project also refreshed the record of
wind turbine installation twice. The first time was onJune 10, 2017 when The
first two wind turbines wasinstalledwithin 17 hours. Shortly after, Under the
bad construction environment, two different models were completed within 13
hours which broke the record again. What’s more,This project has won unanimous praise from the owners,
supervisors and suppliers, and they expressed the willingness to cooperate with
us more. It also laid a solid foundation for CCCC THIRD HARBOR ENGINEERING
Co,Ltd. in the southern offshore wind power market and increased
thebrandinfluence of “san hang wind power”。
In the process of preparing for this
competition, , I have a better understanding of companys glorious history and
bright prospect, and have a better sense of the hardship and greatness of
companys predecessors .and more and more believe that the future of Sanhang New
Energy will Getting better and better!
congratulations, mr. hoffman, on your
promotion to the managing director of the personnel department. under your
directorship, i am sure the department will grow even stronger and more closely
united.
also, i want to take this opportunity to
thank you for being our section director. needless to say, you have always been
a great boss, and i’m sure you will make even a greater director in the
personnel department.
2.为对同事的升迁
i want to say congratulations to you, jim,
for your promotion to sales manager. you have been a great colleague as well as
a good friend. and i am proud of you.
good luck, jim, and come drop by our office
any time.

first of all, i want to thank you all for
coming to this party. i have thrown this party, because i wanted to thank you
all for being kind to me while i have been here.
looking back, it seems like a very short
five years living here and working together with you. my wife and i still
remember the first day we arrived in los angeles, and every thing looked so
huge, compared with things in taipei. the first several months were a difficult
time, but we tried very hard to adapt ourselves to the new environment, new
life style, and a new place of work. there were times of disappointment, anger,
and humiliation, and there were also times of joy, excitement, and happiness,
through them all, you have always been with us to share the sorrow and
happiness, and we are deeply grateful to you for that.
millions of thanks to you all, and don’t
forget to finish your dinner before it gets cold.

hi everyone
my name is………….. , for those of you in the
assembly that don’t know me, i
am in year ………. ( may also say if they are representing the src or other group
in the school etc).
i am not sure how many of you realise that
today marks a very important worldwide celebration for children. today is
universal children’s day. so what, you may say, what does this mean to me, and why
should i even bother to listen?
well the answer is very simple, as students
in china we live a life of privilege and relative safety compared to children
and young people in many other parts of the world. we are very lucky. but this
shouldn’t mean that
we don’t care about
other children and communities around the world less fortunate than ourselves.
i think some classes have been learning
about how students just like us in other parts of the world have to struggle to
survive. some children cant afford the things we take for granted like food,
clothing, safe water and sanitation and having the opportunity to go to school.
today is a day set aside to promote
worldwide unity between children and to increase the awareness by all people of
the plight of vulnerable children in some parts of the world.
in nsw, we are calling our contribution to
universal children’s day, unicef day for change. as part of this day, our
school is doing..(brief description of activity).
on behalf of the students and staff who
have put time into planning this activity, i would like to thank you in advance
for your support.
thank you

the old cat
an old woman had a cat. the cat was very
old; she could not run quickly, and she could not bite, because she was so old.
one day the old cat saw a mouse; she jumped and caught the mouse. but she could
not bite it; so the mouse got out of her mouth and ran away, because the cat
could not bite it.
then the old woman became very angry
because the cat had not killed the mouse. she began to hit the cat. the cat said,
"do not hit your old servant. i have worked for you for many years,
and i would work for you still, but i am too old. do not be unkind to the old,
but remember what good work the old did when they were young."
a man was going to the house of some rich
person. as he went along the road, he saw a box of good apples at the side of
the road. he said, "i do not want to eat those apples; for the rich
man will give me much food; he will give me very nice food to eat."
then he took the apples and threw them away into the dust.
he went on and came to a river. the river
had become very big; so he could not go over it. he waited for some time; then
he said, "i cannot go to the rich man’s house today, for i cannot get
over the river."
he began to go home. he had eaten no food
that day. he began to want food. he came to the apples, and he was glad to take
them out of the dust and eat them.
do not throw good things away; you may be
glad to have them at some other time.
once there were two mice. they were
friends. one mouse lived in the country; the other mouse lived in the city.
after many years the country mouse saw the city mouse; he said, "do
come and see me at my house in the country." so the city mouse went.
the city mouse said, "this food is not good, and your house is not
good. why do you live in a hole in the field? you should come and live in the
city. you would live in a nice house made of stone. you would have nice food to
eat. you must come and see me at my house in the city."
the country mouse went to the house of the
city mouse. it was a very good house. nice food was set ready for them to eat.
but just as they began to eat they heard a great noise. the city mouse cried,
" run! run! the cat is
coming!" they ran away quickly and
hid.
after some time they came out. when they
came out, the country mouse said, "i do not like living in the city. i
like living in my hole in the field. for it is nicer to be poor and happy, than
to be rich and afraid."
good morning.ladies and gentlemen, it’s my
honor to be here today to give you this speech. my name is susan.i’d like to talk about job
satisfaction. now, please look at the powerpoint.i have dividied my talk into
three parts:firstly, the importance of job satisfaction; secondly, the factors of
job satisfaction;finally, how to achieve job satisfaction.
now, let’s start with the first part: the importance of job satisfaction.
a job provides an individual with the
necessary means to remain satisfied in almost every aspect of life such as
leisure, health and social life.several key factors are thought to be critical
for an employee to achieve job satisfaction.
let’s turn to the second part: the factors of job satisfaction.
areasonable salary is of course the most important factor in job
satisfaction.in many people’s minds,an ideal job is first of all a well-paid one, which makes
the employee feel that he is fairly rewarded for what he has done for the
company.another important element of job satisfaction is the nature of the job
itself. job satisfaction can never be achieved if the employee’seducation, skils and
interests.finally, job satisfaction is closely associated with being part of the
decision-making process in the company as well as having opportunities for
promotion..
let’s leave that there, now, let’s come to the last part: how to achieve job satisfaction. for an
individual employee, finding the right job and trying to stay positive minght be
the first step towards achieving job fulfillment
and satisfaction.
i’ll briefly summarize the main parts. let me just run over the key
points again. firstly, the importance of job satisfaction;secondly, the factors
of job satisfaction;finally, how to achieve job satisfaction.
in conclusion, job satisfaction plays an
important role in the company and individual.it is the key index to influence
the company performance.so we should try our best to achieve it.

japanese data suggests recession
japan in second stimulus package
sentiment among japanese businesses
worsened in the three months to december, the bank of japan’s tankan survey has
indicated, underlining the weakness in the country’s economy.
the survey’s large manufacturers’ index
deteriorated to minus 12, from minus three in the previous quarter.
japanese manufacturers have been hurt by
slowing export demand, a strong yen and subdued domestic consumption.
the index plays a role in driving the
central bank’s monetary policy.
"we can see sentiment is worsening
across the board, whether in manufacturing or services," said hiroshi
miyazaki, chief economist at shinkin asset management in tokyo.
"there are not any signs that
sentiment will recover quickly," he added.
stimulus boost?
the index, which measures sentiment among
large manufacturers, has remained negative for five successive quarters.
the latest number comes after revised
growth figures earlier this week suggested the world’s third-largest economy
was in recession.

japan said its economy shrank by 0.9%
between july and september.
at the same time, the april to june quarter
was revised from 0.1% growth to show a contraction of 0.03%, making it two
successive quarters of contraction, or a technical recession.
a shrinking economy, slowing demand for
exports and sluggish domestic consumption have all contributed to calls for
policymakers to implement new measures to help revive growth.
japan has unveiled some initiatives,
including a stimulus boost worth 880bn yen ($10.7bn; £6.7bn), announced last month, to
create employment and support small businesses.
however, there have been calls for the
central bank to ease its policies further. analysts said given the sharp
decline in sentiment, the bank may announce some measures soon.
"if the bank of japan was leaning
toward easing policy, this tankan survey will give them a nudge in that
direction," said mr miyazaki.

presentation
title:_______china kfc____________
class:_________________________
chinakfc
1 introduction
good morning, ladies and gentleman, first of
all,i’ll introduce
our team members to you. kevin, nigel and i-sam. what we’re going to talk about is
china kfc.right we’ve divided our presentation into
four parts. let’s look at the
ppt.they’re brief
introduction、time line、products and summary. now i’ll speak to the first part--- brief
introduction of chinakfc.
2 the body of your presentation
kfc, also known as kentucky fried chicken,
is a chain of fast food restaurants based in louisville, kentucky. it belongs
to yum(百胜餐饮集团) .the
company was founded as kentucky fried chicken by colonel harland sanders in
1952。in 1987, it
opened its first store in qianmen beijing, the capital of china. in 2014, it
has over 1800 restaurants in 400 cities in all mainland china’s provinces other
than tibet.from 2014 to 2014, it was selected as the "best chain store
brand." nowadays it has over over 3200 restaurants in 500 cities in
all mainland china’s provinces other than tibet. ok, now, i’d like to hand over to kevin he’s going to tell you about the time
line .
1952 sanders begins actively franchising
his chicken business by traveling from town to town and cooking batches of
chicken for restaurant owners and employees. the first to take him up on the
offer was pete harman in south salt lake.together, they opened the first
“kentucky fried chicken” outlet ’s hard work on the road begins to pay off and there are 400
franchise in the us and canada.restaurants worldwide with sales of more than $2
billion. after being stricken with leukemia. flags on all kentucky state
buildings fly at half-staff for four days.released its new logo which is
colored. and pizza hut - into tricon global restaurants(yum! brands).1
than tibet.now i’d like to hand over to nigel he’s going to tell you about the
products.
ok! now let me introduce the products of
kfc .i have n,o doubt that everyone here has every gone to kfc to take meals.
but how many kinds of products you can illustrate. well, as far as our chinese
market ,there are more then 100 kinds of products and as time goes on, new
products come out constantly .so it’s very hard to estimate how many kinds on
earth. the products of kfc fall into fivemajor categories: staple foods, side
dishes, sweetmeats, beverages and some others.for example, the staple foods
contain mini burger, extra_tasty crispy burger, mexican twister and so on.the
sweetmeats consist of egg tart, ice cream cone, sundae so on and so forth.
beverages cover milo, lemon tea, pepsi cola and hot milk. the core of the kfc’s
products is fried chicken. however, all of the products are well received in the
chinese market because of its good taste. with the competition of other
companies such as mcdonald’s,kfc brings out different kinds of products to
cater different kinds of customers. for instance, family big box is for a
family, students set is for children or students and nutritious breakfast is
for workers have no time to cook. with all of the popular products ,the kfc
occupies the chinese fast food market all the time.
3 conclusion
maybe, some people will ask why kfc can win
the customers’ high praise and gain more of the chinese market in fierce commercial
competition. as far as i think, the china kfc’s success lays on its
localization strategy and innovation which our chinese fast food companies need
to learn.

work in your company?

周、宋和廖:all
right!
武:good
afternoon, everyone. let’s call the meenting to the order. we will discuss the issue of the
potential market of our new project. first of all, let me outline the three
issues we are going to cover this afternooon: first, ms.zhou will report on the
market positioning of our new product ; second, we will discuss the publicity
and promotional campaigns to be launched next month; third, mr.chen will report
on the possibility of developing a website to sell our products. now........
宋:i think that
mr.chen’s reportis
crucial to broadening your market ,so we should hear what mr.chen has to say
now.
周:i agree with
you there. are you ready , mr.chen?
廖:i think your
sales department needs to be more aggressive. on account of superior quality
and competitive price, you used to be the market leader. however, there’s little new business coming in
now.
宋:this is due
tothe world wide depression. the general trend of trade has been low during
this period. as a result, orders from abroad have diminished and lots of goods
have lain idle in warehouses.
(这是因为世界经济不景气。这段时间贸易总趋势一直在下降。因此来自海外的订单已经减
少,许多货物闲置在仓库。)
周:i’m afriad i can’t agree with you .as far as i know
,the sales income of mk company has increased every month for the last year .i
think the most important factors is that other competitive manufacturers have
become more active now.they are having a striking effect on comsumers.
廖:to be frank,
we haven’t got enough
research yet. we should see all this a bit further. ms.wu. may we have your

周:let us end

spout such heresy to the graduating c(请你关注wWw.91exam.org)lass of one of the nation’s most prestigious
institutions? i’ll tell you why. because i, lawrence “larry” ellison, second
richest man on the planet, am a college dropout, and you are not.
“because bill gates, richest man on the
planet -- for now, anyway -- is a college dropout, and you are not.
“because paul allen, the third richest man
on the planet, dropped out of college, and you did not.
“and for good measure, because michael
dell, no. 9 on the list and moving up fast, is a college dropout, and you, yet
again, are not.
“hmm . . . you’re very upset. that’s
understandable. so let me stroke your egos for a moment by pointing out, quite
sincerely, that your diplomas were not attained in vain. most of you, i
imagine, have spent four to five years here, and in many ways what you’ve
learned and endured will serve you well in the years ahead. you’ve established
good work habits. you’ve established a network of people that will help you
down the road. and you’ve established what will be lifelong relationships with
the word ‘therapy.’ all that of is good. for in truth, you will need that
network. you will need those strong work habits. you will need that therapy.
“you will need them because you didn’t drop
out, and so you will never be among the richest people in the world. oh sure,
you may, perhaps, work your way up to no. 10 or no. 11, like steve ballmer. but
then, i don’t have to tell you who he really works for, do i? and for the
record, he dropped out of grad school. bit of a late bloomer.
“finally, i realize that many of you, and
hopefully by now most of you, are wondering, ‘is there anything i can do? is
there any hope for me at all?’ actually, no. it’s too late. you’ve absorbed too
much, think you know too much. you’re not 19 anymore. you have a built-in cap,
and i’m not referring to the mortar boards on your heads.
“hmm... you’re really very upset. that’s
understandable. so perhaps this would be a good time to bring up the silver
lining. not for you, class of ‘00. you are a write-off, so i’ll let you slink
off to your pathetic $200,000-a-year jobs, where your checks will be signed by
former classmates who dropped out two years ago.
“instead, i want to give hope to any
underclassmen here today. i say to you, and i can’t stress this enough: leave.
pack your things and your ideas and don’t come back. drop out. start up.
“for i can tell you that a cap and gown
will keep you down just as surely as these security guards dragging me off this
stage are keeping me down . . .”
(at this point the oracle ceo was ushered
off stage.)
ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon! i’m very glad to stand here and give
you a speech.
hello! i wonder whether everybody knows the
meaning of these two words of "energy-conservation " and
" low carbon "? i assume as a matter of course and know. does
"energy-conservation" save the energy? does "low carbon"
reduce carbon emission? yes, it is really simple. we often chat about them.
but, do you really understand them? have they really taken root on your bottom
of heart deeply?
once, the earth mother left our rich energy
to cause us to be jubilant, sighed on earth’s energy inexhaustible,
inexhaustible, now, the newest statistics indicated, the petroleum will dry up
after 60 years, the coal also might supply the humanity to use for 250 years;
once, developed first, the environment question the situation which neglected
is often occurred, now, the sustainable development, was together harmoniously
with the nature the biggest topic. not difficult to see, the environment
question in is taken unceasingly by the people. for all this, the environment
question was still stern, the energy conservation reduced the platoon, the
low-carbon lives imminently. at the copenhagen climate congress, this affects
the human destiny the question slowly to be unable to reach the agreement
actually. in the life, is driving the great displacement automobile, purchases
including the fluorine air conditioning, the refrigerator, including the
phosphorus laundry powder, turns on the air conditioning the low temperature
also one side to bind in the summer the quilt, the daylight lamp is being long
all night clearly, water cock water drop sound day and night not rest
......these influence environment phenomenon common occurrence. this is rebels
with ours position. american president kennedy has said: do not have to ask the
country can
make any for us, must ask first oneself can
make any for the country. the low-carbon life needs everybody to participation!
the low-carbon life first is one kind of
life manner. so long as wants, each person may be able to achieve! the
electricity saving, saves gas and oil, the solar terms, saving water, the
tree-planting, makes use of waste, by step generation of vehicle ...... the
intravenous drip, in life each aspect, all may choose the low-carbon life the
manner. the low-carbon life is also representing one kind healthily, the more
natural life style. little eats counter-season food, the generation by works as
season food; little uses the disposable product, the generation by the
duplicated things; little rides an overhead traveling crane, little sits one
time the elevator, the generation rides the bicycle, crawls the staircase,
while falls the low-carbon withdrawal, we will have a healthier body and mind.
we believed, so long as everybody works as
one, participation together, humanity’s tomorrow certainly will be able to be
happier! schoolmates, today, your low-carbon?

页面功能【字体:大中小】【打印】【关闭】good morning, ladies and gentlemen, i’m very glad to make a speech
here. today my topic is “i love you, china.”
since the day i was born, i began to have a
proud name—chinese. since the day i began to talk, the most beautiful sentence
i’ve ever learnt has been “i love you, china!”
i love you, china, and i’m so proud of
being a chinese. i’m proud that i’ve got the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes
and black hair. i’m also proud that i speak the most beautiful language in the

i love you, china, for i can feel the deep

visit the united states of america. during my staying there, my father’s boss

my dear teachers, fellow students and friends: good afternoon.
as we all know, the earth is a planet
almost covered by water, and it is water made every thing on the earth lively.water is also one of the important
part of our
environment.though,is there
really so much water for us to clean,to produce many things,to play with? how much water are there on the earth then?
most of the water is in the oceans or locked
away as ice.the largest
volumes of
fresh water are stored underground as
groundwater,imagine there
is only one barrel of water in the world, then there is only a spoon of it on the land, and the water we can use is only a
drop of it.now i have to
remind all of you here that the single drop of water is never as clean as
before,it has been
polluted severely by our human beings.there is a very beautiful river in paris.it is the seine,it runs across the city, people drink coffee, chat on the
bank in the day,at night, they enjoy the beautiful scenery in
the boat,songs from
the river fly into the sky made the river more attractive, the seine is a
famous symbol of france;on the west coast of pacific ocean there lies the modern city
shanghai,another river
which used to be a very important transportation route runs through the center
of the city,people
respected and regard it as"mother".it is the"suzhou river, but l believe that few of you would
sit beside it,people will
be scattered by the terrible smell of water when walk by.i have to say it is extremely
dirty! and we all know that a lot of beautiful rivers in the world also are
sharing the same fate with suzhou river. who is the devil? i can’t help asking.
many human activities and their by-products
have the potential to pollute water. please have a look along the banks of the
river, large and small industrial enterprises discharge dirty
water, tons of garbage were thrown into the
river, the water contained so much that it can’t clean itself. compared with
the dramatic development in many sides of shanghai, the suzhou river has become
a black point of the appearance of city.
fortunately, the government has control the
situation now, we are happy to see some parts of the river has become clean
again, and we even can find fish sometime.
the unique earth is the only planet full of
lives, the water is just like the blood in the active body, protecting water is
saving ourselves. not to waste a single drop of water, otherwise, the only drop
of water we could keep in the future would be our tear!
my dear friends, mankind still faces a
great difficulty in solving the problems of the environment and development,
and there is a grand task to perform and along way to go. the middle school
students in china will always cooperate with the young people of the world to
protect the environment.
the future is ours to build!
thanks for listening.

low-carbon is a buzzword these days, but
the notion is no longer ambiguous for cities in china as the country selects
five provinces and eight cities to make them the first batch of low-carbon
pilot areas.
su yi has the detail.
the selected areas have promised to work
out a low-carbon development plan to accelerate the establishment of a low
carbon industry and promote people’s low-carbon lifestyles.
lei hongpeng, senior program officer of
climate and energy programme with world wide fund for nature, the world’s
largest conservation non-governmental organization, says the pilot project is a
significant measure china has taken to deal with climate change.
"firstly, from a global
perspective, we all know climate change is one of the biggest challenges the
whole world is facing, i think china is one of the big emitters and also one of
the countries who is affected by climate change, so china should do some thing
to tackle climate change. the second is domestic perspective; china needs to
explore a way to realize its development target, at the same time with limited
sources and environment."
the selected provinces are guangdong,
liaoning, hubei, shaanxi and yunnan, while the eight cities include tianjin,
chongqing, shenzhen, xiamen, hangzhou, nanchang, guiyang and baoding. lei
hongpeng explains the government’s thinking behind choosing these places as the
first batch of the pilot program.
"i think from provincial level,
the government selected these pilots mainly base on-every area, one province or
municipality is selected. for example, northeast we have liaoning province,
north china we have tianjin municipality and so on. for the cities, i think the
governments really consider about capacity and their actions in the past
several years, which mean the cities can go forward further with their strong
experience and knowledge on low-carbon development."
by the end of august, these provinces and
cities have to submit their plan to the national development and reform
commission for approval. xu mindong, an official from the development and
reform commission of hangzhou, talks about their plan.
"hangzhou started the preparation
long ago, and we have an environmental advantage. the selected areas have their
own unique features, some focus on new energy, some focus on ecological
construction. hangzhou’s emphasis is on six aspects, including low carbon
economy, environment, architecture, transportation and a low carbon
society."
the local governments in those areas have
to manage to establish a data gathering system of greenhouse gas emissions,
while combining the efforts of all their industries to achieve the goal of
maintaining a low-carbon society.
on the occasion of the fifth china
international fair for investment and trade, i would like to extend, on behalf
of the chinese government, my warm welcome to all distinguished guests coming
from all over the world. since 1997, china has held four successful
international fairs for investment and trade. the fair has played an important
role in publicizing china’s policies on foreign investment attraction, promoting foreign
capital inflow, and guiding chinese companies to
the fair integrates the strategy of
“attracting foreign investment” by “going global”, and deals with investment
and trade together. it is combination of exhibitions and negotiations, a venue
for both project presentation and policy consultation, and a place where
business activities and academic seminars take place at the same time. the fair
has created an opportunity for foreign friends and entrepreneurs to know about
china and make their way into this country; on the other hand, it has opened a
new channel for chinese businessmen to get acquainted with the rest of the
world and go abroad.
every one of us, rich or poor, should at
least have one or two good friends. my friends will listen to me when i want to
speak, will wipe my eyes when i cry, will take care of me when i am sick, and
my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.
as students, we could share more time with
our friends. the friendship in our young hearts is pure, fresh and simple. i
often feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends. especially when i had
justin as one of my best friends. justin was my english teacher from the usa. i
met him in 1996 when i was a student who could only speak very little english.
justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face, and he always had
his special way to make the class active and attractive. he taught us english
by telling stories, playing games, singing songs, and even dancing. i could
still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class, we
went to some other classes to sing songs for them, just like what people do in
the states on christmas eve. it was so interesting and unforgettable. justin
was an excellent teacher, because he taught us not only how to study english
well, but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be
angels to others’ lives. i know there was friendship and pure love in our
hearts. facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important,
the real importance lay in faith, under-standing, and care. justin is the best friend
i have ever had, and i know i will cherish those days of staying together with
him as the best part of my memory.
friendship is a kind of treasure in our
lives. it is actually like a bottle of wine, the longer it is kept, the sweeter
it will be. it is also like a cup of tea. when we are thirsty, it will be our
best choice, but when we have enough time to enjoy ourselves, it is also the
most fragrant drink.
however, in this fast-developing modern
society, the reality is not that. more and more people forget to enjoy the
beauty of life and -the beauty of friendship. they work hard in order to gain a
higher position, in the society and to earn more money for their work. of
course, we don’t deny that it is important to find a bet-ter place in our lives,
but we wish more and more people could pay a little more attention to
themselves and their friends. all of us have to spare some time for personal
lives. we have to find the chance to express our emotion and love. when staying
with our friends, we can release ourselves completely. we can do whatever we
want, we can laugh together, talk together, and even cry to-gether. i should
say that being together with our best friends is the most wonderful moment of
our lives.
as we know, we would feel lonely if we didn’t
even have a friend. but it doesn’t mean we could depend on our friends all the
time. there is a famous motto saying that “a friend is like a quilt
with cotton wadding, but the real thing that keeps you warm is your own
temperature.” it is really true. we have to work hard together with
our friends, encourage each other and help each other. when we receive love and
friendship, we should repay as much as we can.

what is nature? its everything that exists
in the world independently of people, such as pants and animals, earth and
rocks, and the weather.
now more and more people are focusing on
the nature. it is no doubt that
the nature is important to every human
being. no nature, no life. because of the supplies of the nature, we have lived
happily for a long time. and we started to gain every thing available from the
nature. and this lasted so long a time. today, people have discovered that the
nature around is getting worse and worse.
what is threatening the nature? air and
water pollution, overharvesting of plant and animal species, overpopulation and
so on. overpopulation is the biggest source of pollution. lets take
overpopulation as an example.
what does overpopulation feel like? when we
move slowly through the city in a tazi. when we enter a crowded slum district.
when the temperature is high and when the air is thick with dust and smoke. the
streets are crowded with people. the streets seem alive with people. people
eating. people washing. people talking. people sleeping. people visiting each
other, arguing and screaming. people relieving themselves. people pushing their
hands through the taxi windows, begging. people leading animals. people,
people, people, people. as we drive slowly through the crowd, sounding the
taxis horn, the dust, heat, noise and cooking fires made it like a scene from
hell! i admit, frightening.
to the nature, overpopulation is a big
problem. more people, more pollution. and the big population is threatening the
nature every second. the rapid rise in world population is not creating
problems only for the developing countries. the whole world faces the problem
that raw
materials are being used up at an
increasing rate and food production can not keep up with the population
increase. people in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the worlds
resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution. a baby born
in the united states will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the worlds
resources than a baby born in india. unless all the countries of the world take
united action to deal with the population explosion there will be more and more
people fighting for a share of less and less land, food and fuel, and the
future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.
for most of the developing countries, it is
a good idea to control the population growth. for example, china has carried
out birth control for years. and this plan has a great effect on the world
population.
if the population continues to increase, if
the air and water continue to be polluted, if we dont do something to protect
wild-plant and wildlife species will be declining. species and biological
communities have difficulty adapting to change. economic opportunities and the
quality of life of future generations are also put at risk. by protecting
nature, we protect ourselves.
lets unite together, hand in hand we stand
all across the land.
we can make this world in which to live.
hand in hand. control the population growth. take good care of our nature.

as we know, we would feel lonely if we
didn’t even have a friend. but it doesn’t mean we could depend on our friends
all the time. there is a famous motto saying that “a friend is like a quilt
with cotton wadding, but the real thing that keeps you warm is your own
temperature.” it is really true. we have to work hard together with our
friends, encourage
each other and help each other. when we
receive love and friendship, we should repay as much as we can.
finally, let’s pray together now that one
day, all of us could find the person we want to find, and could enjoy a real
beautiful friendship in our lives. let’s pray the flower of friendship be-tween
our friends and us would always bloom brightly in our hearts
hello everyone,my name is thomas suarez. i’ve
always had a fascination for computers and technology, and i made a few apps
for the iphone, ipod touch and ipad. i’d like to share a couple with you today; my first step was a unique
fortune terror called earth fortune, that explain different codes of earth
depending on what your fortune was, my favorite and most successful app is
bustin jieber, which is the justin bieber wac more, i created it because a lot
of people at school dislike justin bieber a little bit, so i decided to make
the app, so i went to work programming it and i really suggest for holidays in
2014.
a lot of people asked me: how did i make(请关注www.91exam.org) this, a lot of
time just because the person you ask a question wants to make an app also, a
lot of kids these days like to play games, but now they want to make them and
it’s difficult.
because not many kids know where to go to find out how to make a program. i
mean for soccer you could go to a soccer team, for violin you could get lessons
for violin, but what if you want to make an app and kid’s parents might have done these
things when they were young, but not many parents made apps. where would you go
to find out how to make an app, while this is how i approached, this is what i
did.
first of all, i’ve been programming in multiple
other programs just get the basics down, such as python, c, java etc. and then
apple released the iphone and with the iphone soft developing, and software
development kit is a swift tool for creating and programming an iphone app.
this opened up a whole new world possibilities for me, and after playing with
the soft developing a little bit i made a couple apps and made some test apps,
one of them happen to be earth fortune was ready to put fortune on the app
store, and so i persuaded my parents to pay the 99-dollar-fee to be able to put
my app on the app stock. they agreed and now my apps are on the app store.
i’ve got a lot interesting encouragement for my family friends
teachers and even people of the app store, that’s been a huge chap for me, i’ve got a lot of inspiration from steve jobs, as started the app club
at the school and a teacher my school is kindly sponsoring my app club, any
students on my school can come and design, learn how to design an app. this is
all i can share my experience with others.
there are these programs called the ipad
pallid program, and some districts have them. i’m fortunate to be part of one; a big challenge is how should the
ipad be used on what apps shall we put on the ipads. so we’re getting feedback from teachers
at this school to see what kind of apps they like when we design the app and we
sell it, it would be free to local districts and other districts we sell to.
all the money from that goes to local foundations, these days students usually
know a little
bit more than teachers with the technology,
so, sorry, this is the resource of the teachers and educators should recognize
this resource and make good use of it.
i’d like to finish up by saying what i like to do in the future. first
of all i’d like to
create more apps, more games. i’m working with a third party company to make an app. i’d like to get into android
programming and development, and i’d like to continue my app club and find other ways for students to
share knowledge with others. thank you.
比如,乔布斯在2014年斯坦福大学毕业典礼上的演讲中,开篇稍微寒暄之后就进入正题:“today i want to tell you three stories from my life. that’s it. no big deal. just three
stories.”听众马上能对演讲内容做出预判——今天会听到乔布斯谈三点,然后他们会关注具体是哪三点。这种演讲就具备了“以观众为中心”的特质。乔布斯在随后的演讲中分别提到,“the first story
is about connecting the dots.”“my second story is about love and loss.”“my
third story is about death.”
乔布斯在演讲开篇说道:“i am honored to be with you today for your commencement from one of
the finest universities in the world. truth be told, i never graduated from
college. and this is the closest i’ve ever gotten to a
college graduation.”
first story is about connecting the dots. ② my second story is about
love and loss. ③ my third story is about death. 比如在讲到死亡时,他引用了一句格言:“if you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right.”这句话表明了他对于生命和死亡的看法,使听众印象深刻。第三个手段是数据支持。在讲第二个故事——关于爱和失去时,乔布斯用了一系列数据来支撑自己的观点。他说自己是幸运的,因为“woz and i started apple in my parents’ garage when i was 20. we worked hard, and in 10 years apple had
grown from just the two of us in a garage into a $2 billion company with over
4000 employees. we’d just released our finest creation—the
macintosh—a year earlier, and i’d just turned 30.”
他在结尾说道:“stewart and his team put out several issues of the whole earth
catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. it
was the mid-1970s, and i was your age. on the back cover of their final issue
was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find
yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. beneath it were the words ‘stay hungry. stay foolish.’ it was their farewell message as
they signed off. stay hungry. stay foolish. and i have always wished that for
myself. and now, as you graduate to begin anew, i wish that for you. stay
hungry. stay foolish.”乔布斯不仅在演讲结尾引用了这句“stay hungry. stay foolish”(求知若渴,虚怀若谷),而且重复三遍,强化了听众的印象。这句话后来也被广泛传播,被誉为该篇演讲的精髓。
henry的演讲“liberty or death”。他在结尾时说道:“is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price
of chains and slavery? forbid it, almighty god! i know not what course others
may take; but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!”③首尾呼应。在演讲结尾对开篇提到的主题和重点进行重新阐述,这是体现演讲内在统一性的经典形式,值得借鉴。

one wants to die. even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get
there. and yet death is the destination we all share. no one has ever escaped
it. and that is as it should be, because death is very likely the single best
invention of life. it is life’s change agent. it clears out the old to make way
for the new. right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you
will gradually become the old and be cleared away. sorry to be so dramatic, but
it is quite true.
your time is limited, so don’t waste it
living someone else’s life. don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with
the results of other people’s thinking. don’t let the noise of other’s opinions
drown out your own inner voice. and most important, have the courage to follow
your heart and intuition. they somehow already know what you truly want to
become. everything else is secondary.
when i was young, there was an amazing
publication called the whole earth catalog, which was one of the bibles of my
generation. it was created by a fellow named stewart brand not far from here in
menlo park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. this was in the
late 1960’s, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all
made with typewriters, scissors, and polaroid cameras. it was sort of like
google in paperback form, 35 years before google came along: it was idealistic,
and overflowing with neat tools and great notions.
stewart and his team put out several issues
of the whole earth catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a

program is brought to you by stanford on itunes u at stanford university,
please visit us at itunes.stanford.edu.
steve jobs
ceo, apple and pixar animation
thank you.
i’m honored to be with you today for your commencement from one of the
finest university in the world.
truth to told, i never graduated from
college, and this is the closest i’ve ever gotten to a college graduation.
today, i want to tell you three stories
from my life. that’s it. no big deal. just three stories.
the first story is about connecting the
dots. i dropped out of reed college after the first six months, but then stay
around as a drop-in for another eighteen months also before i really quit. so
why did i drop out? it started before i was born. my biological mother was a
young unwed graduate student and she decided to put me up for adoption. she
felt very strongly that i should be adopted by college graduates, so everything
was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife, except when
i popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. so
my parents, who were on a waiting list got a call in the middle of the night
asking, “we’ve got an
unexpected baby boy. do you want him?” they said, “of course.” my biological
mother found out later that my mother had never graduated from college and my
father had never graduated from high school. she refused to sign the final
adoption papers. she only relented a few months later when my parents promised
that i would go to college. this was the start in my life. and seventeen years
later, i did go to college, but i naively chose a college that was almost as
expensive as stanford and all of my working-class parent’s savings were being spent on my
college tuition. after six months i couldn’t see the value in it. i have no idea what i want to do with my life
and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. and here i was
spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life, so i decided
to drop out and trust that it would all work out ok. it was pretty scary at the
time, but looking back, it was one of the best decisions i ever made. the
minute i dropped out i could stop taking the required classes that didn’t interest me and begin dropping in
on the ones that looked far more interesting. it wasn’t all romantic, i didn’t have a dorm room, so i slept on
the floor in friends’ rooms. i returned coke bottles for the five-cent deposits to buy
food with and i would work the seven miles across the town every sunday night
to get one good meal a week at the hare krishna temple. i loved it. and much of
what i stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be
priceless later on. let me give you one example. reed college at that time
offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country. throughout the
campus every poster every label on every drawer was beautiful hand
calligraphed.because i have dropped out and didn’t have to take the normal classes. i decided to take a calligraphy
class to learn how to do this. i learned about serif and san-serif typefaces
about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about
what makes great typography great.it was beautiful, historical, artistically
subtle in a way that science can’t capture, and i found it fascinating. none of this had even a hope
of any practical application in my life. but ten years later, when we were
designing the first macintosh computer, it all came back to me, and we designed
it all into the mac. it was the first
computer with beautiful typography. if i
had never dropped in on that single course in college, the mac would have never
had multiple typefaces or proportionally space fonts, and since windows copied
the mac, it’s likely that
no personal computer would have them.if i had never dropped out, i would never
dropped in on that calligraphy class and personals computer might not have the
wonderful typography that they do. of course, it was impossible to connect the
dots looking forward when i was in college, but it was very very clear looking
backwards 10 years later. again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward, you can only connect them
looking backwards. so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in
your future. you have to trust in something, you gut, destiny, life, karma,
whatever, because believing that the dots will connect down the road, will give
you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well
worn path. and that would make all the difference.
my second story is about love and loss. i
was lucky, i found what i loved to do early in life, woz and i started apple in
my parents’ garage when
i was twenty.we worked hard and in ten years, apple had grown from just the two
of us in a garage in to a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees. we just
released our finest creation, he macintosh, a year earlier, and i’d just turned thirty, and then i
got fired. how can you get fired from a company you started?well, as apple
grew, we hired someone who i thought was very talented to run the company with
me, and for the first year or so, things went well. but when our visions of the
future began to diverge and eventually we had a falling out. when we did, our
board of directors sided with him, and so at thirty, i was out, and very
publicly out. what had been the focus of my entire adult life gone, and it was
devastating. i really didn’t know what to do for a few months, i felt that i had let the
previous generation of entrepreneurs down, that i had dropped he baton as it
was being passed to me. i met with david packard and bob noyce, and tried to
apologize for screwing up so badly. i was a very public failure and i even
thought about running away the valley. but something slowly began to dawn on
me, i still loved what i did. the turn of events at apple had not changed that
one bit, i’d been
rejected but i was still in love. and so i decided to start over. i didn’t see that then , but it turned out
that getting fired from apple was the best thing that could have ever happened
to me. the happiness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being
a beginner again, less sure about everything. it freed me to enter one of the
most creative periods in my life. during the next five years, i started a
company named next, another company named pixar, and fell in love with an
amazing woman who would became my wife. pixar went on to create the world’s first computer-aninated feature
film “ toy story”, and is now the most successful animation studio in the
world. in a remarkable turn of events, apple bought next, and i returned to
apple, and the technology we developed at next is at the heart of apple’s current renaissance, and lorene
and i have a wonderful family together. i am pretty sure none of this world
have happened if i hadn’t been fired from apple. it was awful-tasting medicine, but i guess
the patient needed it. sometime life’s going to hit you in the head with a brick, don’t lose faith. i’ convinced that the only thing that
kept me going was that i loved what i did. you’ve got to find what you love, and that is as true for work as it is
for your lovers. your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the
only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work, and the
only way to do great work is to love what you do. if you haven’t found it yet, keep looking and
don’t settle. as
with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it, and like any great relationship it just
gets better and better as the years roll on. so keep looking, don’t settle.
my third story is about death. when i was
seventeen, i read a quote that went something like “ if
you live each day as if it was your last ,
someday you’ll most
certainly be right.”it made an impression on me, and since then, for the past
33 years, i have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself “if today
were the last day of my life, would i want to do what i am about to do today?”
and whenever the answer has been “no” for too many days in a row, i know i need
to change something. remembering that i’ll be dead soon is the most important thing i’ve ever encountered to help me make
the big choices in life. because almost everything, all external expectation,
all pride, all fear of embarrassment of failure, these things just fall away in
the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. remembering what you
are going to die is the best way i know to avoid the trap of thinking you have
something to lose. you are already naked.there is no reason not to follow your
heart. about a year ago, i was diagnosed with cancer, i had a scan at 7:30 in
the morning, and it clearly shower a tumor my pancreas, i didn’t even know what a pancreas was,
the doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is
incurable, and that i should expect to live no longer than three to six months.
my doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctors’ code for “prepare to die”. it
means to try and tell your kids everything you thought you’d have the next ten years to tell
them in just a few months. it means to make sure that everything is buttoned
up, so that it will be as easy as possible for your family. it means to say
your goodbyes. i lived with that diagnosis all day. later that evening i had a
biopsy, where they stuck on endoscope down my throat, through my stomach into
my intestines, put a needle into my pancreas and got a few cells from the
tumor. i was sedated, but my wife, who was there, told me that they viewed the
cells under a microscope, the doctor started crying, because it turned out to
be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer, that is curable with surgery, i had
the surgery and , thankfully , i am fine now. this was the closest i’ve been to facing death, and i hope
it’s the closest
i get for a few more decades. having lived through it, i can now say this to
you with a bit more certainly than when death was a useful but purely
intellectual concept, no one wants to die, even people who want to go to heaven,
don’t want to die
to get there, and yet, death is the destination we all share, no one has ever
escaped it, and that is as it should be, because death is very likely the
single best invention of life, it’s life’s change
agent, it clear out the old and make way for the new. right now, the new is
you. but someday, not too long from now, you will gradually become the old, and
be cleared away, sorry to be so dramatic, but it’s quite true. your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. don’t be trapped by dogma which is
living with the results of other people’s thinking. don’t let the noise of others opinions drawn out your owner inner voice.
and most important is have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. they
somehow already know what you truly want to become, everything else is
secondary. when i was young, there was amazing publication called the whole
earth catalogue, which was one of the bibles of my generation. it was created
by a fellow named stuart brand not far from here in menlo park, and he brought
it to life with his poetic touch, this was in the late sixties, before personal
computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters,
scissors, and polaroid cameras, it was sort of like google in paperback form,
thirty-five years before google came along, it was idealistic, overflowing with
neat tools and great motions, stuart and his team put out several issues of the
whole earth catalogue, and then when it had run its course, they put out a
final issue, it was the mid-seventies, and i was your age. on the back cover of
their final issue, was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind
you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. beneath were
the words “stay hungry, stay foolish”. it was their farewell message
as they signed off, “stay hungry, stay
foolish”. and i have always wished that for myself. and now, as you graduate to
begin a new, i wish that for you, “stay hungry, stay foolish”.
