Zhejiang University is one of China's oldest and most prestigious universities. The Ocean College is located at its dedicated campus in the picturesque island of Zhoushan, separated by a strait from Ningbo, China.

Institute of Marine Chemistry and Environment is seeking candidates for tenure track faculty positions under newly launched, highly competitive and well-funded “Hundred Talents Program”. Applicants should hold a Ph.D degree, with postdoctoral experiences preferred. Applicants shall demonstrate their commitment to excellence in teaching and research at the level of assistant or associate professorship. Successful candidates are required to work full-time in Zhoushan Island, teach courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels and supervise graduate students, and are expected to establish internationally competitive and externally funded research programs in marine chemistry. Desirable research expertise of the applicants include but are not limited to:

(1)   Marine organic geochemistry, particularly biomarker-related interaction between biological and chemical species;

(2)   Chemical processes in the water column of oceanic, coastal and estuarine environment;

(3)   Carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus cycles in the oceans;

(4)   Behaviour of limiting nutrients such as iron, silicon, and other trace metals in oceans;

(5)   Paleoceanography.
