ShanghaiTech University invites highly qualified candidates to fill multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions as its core founding team in the School of Creativity and Art (SCA). We seek candidates with exceptional academic records or demonstrated strong potentials in all cutting-edge research areas of Creativity and Art.

ShanghaiTech is founded as a world-class research university for training future generations of scientists, entrepreneurs, and technical leaders. Boasting a new modern campus in Zhangjiang Hightech Park of cosmopolitan Shanghai, ShanghaiTech shall trail-blaze a new education system in China. Besides establishing and maintaining a world-class research profile, faculty candidates are also expected to contribute substantially to both graduate and undergraduate educations.

Formally established in November in 2017, School of Creativity and Art aims to develop an institute of higher education that is at the forefront of our country. We will be fully engaged internationally to promote innovation and collaboration of the creative arts with advanced science and technology to provide a pioneering platform for research, experiment, exchange, growth and breakthroughs. To challenge the next generation of creative art professionals to inject new inspirations and momentum into China and provide humanity advances in our cultural and spiritual lives.

Academic Disciplines:

Candidates in all areas of Creativity and Art shall be considered. Our recruitment focus includes, but is not limited to: artificial intelligence, design, additive manufacturing, creative thinking, psychology, education, sociology, ecology, curiosity, imagination, fine arts with strong interest in and track record of integrating artistic work with new technologies

Compensation and Benefits:   

Salary and startup funds are highly competitive, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishment. We also offer a comprehensive benefit package to employees and eligible dependents, including on-campus housing. All regular ShanghaiTech faculty members will join its new tenure-track system in accordance with international practice for progress eva luation and promotion.

- Ph.D. (Computer Science, Design, Mechanical Engineering, Interactive Digital Art, Psychology, Education, Sociology, Ecology, Arts);
