Position Summary
NYU Shanghai is looking for a short-term contracted Fellow, Faculty Services for the following Summer and Fall semester (July 2021 to January 2022).
The Fellow, Faculty Services will be responsible for faculty’s on/off-boarding and daily non-academic logistical support. Specific duties may include one-on-one assistance for faculty’s entry into China & quarantine settlement, office space set-up and supplies acquisition, daily business-related logistical needs, and (sometimes) navigation through obstacles with their life in Shanghai. This person will serve as their key bridge to troubleshoot problems and resolve crises.
Qualifications
Required Education
● Bachelor’s Degree or above.
Required Experience
● Relevant working experience in international higher education is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
● A qualified applicant should demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, orientation to services, resilience under pressure, adaptation to uncertainties, and skills in organization and multitasking;
● Proficiency in English, experience living in Shanghai and proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
