About SCUPI:
Sichuan University - Pittsburgh Institute (SCUPI) is a new academic entity jointly established by the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) in the U.S. and Sichuan University (SCU) in China. Officially approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of China in March 2014, SCUPI is one of the five institute-scale collaborative programs between leading universities in the U.S. and China. SCUPI stands out for its technical focus on advanced and sustainable manufacturing and offers three undergraduate majors in Industrial Engineering (IE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), and Materials Science and Engineering (MSE). The curricula at SCUPI will be based on Pitt’s Swanson School of Engineering’s core curriculum and they will be instructed in English. The first class of SCUPI will start in fall, 2015.
 
Computer and Information Technology Administrator
 
This is a professional position that plays an integral role in providing technology services. Responsibilities for this position include the development and maintenance of SCUPI technology facilities and website, as well as providing high quality services to support and enhance the Institute IT services.. 

General responsibilities:
·         Develop strategic plans in the analysis, development and delivery of technology systems and services for SCUPI students and Employees.
·         Provide computer services in Academic environment include Maintain institute hardware/software systems.
·         Develop various IT systems based on needs in teaching, research and administration of SCUPI.
·         Creates, delivers and manages SCUPI website; updates and maintains information
·         Provides technical support and consulting to students and employees.
·         Serves as an IT coordinator for institutional teams and external suppliers
·         Job functions are not limited to the statement above; employees will be required to perform other job related duties as required.
Knowledge and Qualifications:
·         Master's Degree in Computer Science, information Systems Managementor a related discipline.
·         Minimum 1 year full-time professional work experience in IT support, web design and development orrelated technology fieldis required
·         Programming experience with one of the major languages in Java, Python, C++.
·         Knowledge and experience of: Adobe, java script, web graphics creation and manipulation web conferencing tools.
·         Graphic design and digital multimedia production experience could be a plus.
Demonstrated ability to:
·         Effective English oral and written skill.
·         Good interpersonal and team skills for a service-oriented environment.
·         Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.
·         Plan and organize multiple tasks and priorities.
