    论坛简介

    “北京大学环境工程优秀青年学者国际论坛”由北京大学环境科学与工程学院环境工程系、深圳研究生院环境与能源学院共同举办,旨在聚焦国内外环境工程及相关学科学术前沿,通过开展多学科、跨领域的广泛学术交流与人才洽谈, 集聚优秀青年人才,共创环境工程美好未来。2024年第三届论坛将在北京大学深圳研究生院举办,南国燕园诚邀各界英才报名参加!

    主办方简介

    北京大学环境工程系

    北京大学环境工程系隶属于环境科学与工程学院,学院是我国最早开展环境学科教学和科研的机构之一,具有环境科学与工程一级学科博士点,2017年“环境科学与工程”入选国家“双一流”建设学科。经过50年的快速发展,形成了在国内环境学科领域的整体优势地位,学科建设水平正跻身世界环境学科前沿。据基本科学指标(ESI)统计,北京大学环境/生态学科在全国高校中率先进入1‰并升至0.5‰,在最新QS国际学科评估中,北京大学环境学科位列全球17位。

    环境工程学科立足国际前沿,结合国家重大科技需求,以水系全物质通量及其调控为核心,以水系统全过程减污降碳协同增效为目标,发展现代环境工程。主要研究方向包括环境(微)生物、新型环境功能材料、城镇污水深度处理、特种工业废水处理、水处理膜技术与膜工艺、饮用水处理与安全保障、固体废弃物处理处置与资源化、新污染物监测及污染控制、环境系统工程、流域水环境改善与河流生态修复等。环境工程学科注重成果转化,为国家水污染控制、水环境质量改善、水生态系统健康维护、河流与海洋生态文明提供理论与技术支持。环境工程系拥有国家环境保护河流全物质通量重点实验室、水沙科学教育部重点实验室、环境工程国家计量认证实验室、北京市新型污水深度处理工程技术研究中心、北京大学环境全要素监测校级平台等。现有全职教师21人,包括中国科学院院士1人、国家杰出青年科学基金获得者4人,国家级青年人才入选者7人。

    北京大学深圳研究生院环境与能源学院

    Forum Introduction

    The "Peking University Environmental Engineering Excellent Young Scholars International Forum" is jointly organized by the Department of Environmental Engineering, College of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (CESE) at Peking University, and the School of Environment and Energy (SEE), Shenzhen Graduate School, Peking University. Forum focuses on the academic frontiers of environmental engineering-related disciplines at home and abroad. Through extensive academic exchange and talent communication, it gathers outstanding young talents to jointly create a better future for environmental engineering.

    The third forum in 2024 will be held at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, and Nan Yanyuan sincerely invites talents from all walks of life to participate.

    Transportation and Accommodation: 

    Participants attending the forum in person are kindly asked to book their own round-trip tickets to Shenzhen. Our university will reimburse the cost of economy-class airfare or second-class high-speed train tickets. The maximum reimbursement limits are as follows: Up to 5000 rmb for domestic applicants, 10 000 for Asian applicants, 20 000 for the rest of the world. Accommodation and meals during the forum will be arranged by the hosting university.

    Application Requirements

    1. Under 40 years old (the age can be relaxed for leading talents).

    2. Possess a doctorate degree in environmental disciplines.

    3. Should show excellent capacity of research and teaching.

    4. Possess formal teaching or research positions (including postdoctoral fellowships) at well-known universities, research institutions, or R&D departments of renowned enterprises, both domestically and internationally.

    5. Talented inpiduals will be offered tenure track positions at our institutions.

    6. Abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, have good academic ethics, and keen on education career.

     1)Remuneration: We offer an internationally competitive salary package and full support in the application for talent programs.

    Organizer Profile

    Department of Environmental Engineering, Peking University

    The Department of Environmental Engineering is part of the College of Environmental Science and Engineering (CESE) at Peking University, which is one of the oldest institutions in China to offer education and research in environmental disciplines. The college holds a first-level doctoral program in Environmental Science and Engineering and was selected as a national "Double First-Class" construction discipline for "Environmental Science and Engineering" in 2017. After 50 years of rapid development, it has established a leading position in the field of environmental disciplines in China, with the level of discipline construction advancing to the forefront of global environmental sciences. According to the Essential Science Indicators (ESI), the Environmental/Ecological discipline at Peking University was the first among Chinese universities to enter the top 1‰ and has risen to 0.5‰. Peking University's environmental discipline ranks 17th globally in the latest QS international subject assessment.

    The discipline of Environmental Engineering is positioned at the international frontier, combining major national scientific and technological needs. It focuses on the full substance flux of water systems and their regulation, aiming for synergistic pollution and carbon emission reduction throughout the entire water system process, through the deployment of modern environmental engineering. The main research directions include environmental (micro) biology, new types of environmental functional materials, advanced treatment of urban sewage, treatment of industrial wastewater, membrane technology and membrane processes for water treatment, drinking water treatment and safety assurance, solid waste treatment and disposal, resource utilization, monitoring and pollution control of new pollutants, environmental systems engineering, and river basin water environment improvement and river ecological restoration. The Environmental Engineering discipline focuses on the transformation of research results, providing theoretical and technical support for national water pollution control, water environment quality improvement, maintenance of water ecosystem health, and the ecological civilization of rivers and oceans. The Department of Environmental Engineering has the National Environmental Protection Key Laboratory of Riverine Total Substance Flux, the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Sediment Science, the National Accreditation Laboratory for Environmental Engineering, the Beijing Engineering Technology Research Center for Advanced Treatment of Urban Sewage, and the Peking University Platform for Environmental Omni-Element Monitoring. There are currently 21 full-time faculty members, including one academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 4 recipients of the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation, and 7 national young talents.

    School of Environment and Energy(SEE), Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School

    School of Environment and Energy(SEE) is affiliated with the Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University. Established in 2001, Shenzhen Graduate School is a joint initiative between Peking University and the People's Government of Shenzhen. As the only off-campus branch of Peking University, the Shenzhen Graduate School integrates Peking University's academic spirit of "freedom of thought and inclusiveness" with Shenzhen's enterprising spirit of "daring to try and experiment." It adheres to the educational philosophy of "cutting-edge fields, interdisciplinary studies, applied scholarship, and international standards," aiming to become a new highland for cultivating international, interdisciplinary, and innovative talents.     "The School of Environment and Energy, in collaboration with the main campus, is building a first-class discipline in Environmental Science and Engineering at Peking University.
