School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Nanjing Normal University Language Teaching in English

The School of Foreign Languages and Literatures invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in English language teaching. This is a renewable one-year academic appointment.

Applicants for this position should be native English speaker with a BA or higher degree (or be close to completion) in English, Education, ESL pedagogy, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related fields. The successful candidate will have 2-year relevant teaching experience (or TESL certificate) and adequate teaching ability. Faculty English teacher will teach minimum 12 teaching units (1 unit = 45 mins) per week) for undergraduate English majors and an overload instructing fee will be provided when undertaking more classes than required. Classes required to teach are usually Oral English and other speaking/writing-related English proficiency classes.

The School of Foreign Languages and Literatures (SFLL) is one of the most competitive and popular departments of Nanjing Normal University. SFLL has been ranked the 7th in recent Chinese national eva luation of foreign language departments by the Ministry of Education. Originally founded in 1902, the School of Foreign Languages and Literatures has more than 200 faculty members in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, Japanese, and Korean studies.
