Wanted: Laboratory Manager and Personal Assistant (FULL TIME OR PART TIME)

If the applicant wants FULL TIME with higher pay then one applicant can take both positions.

If the applicant wants PART TIME then one position can be chosen. 5-10 hrs per week

Location: Professor Jon Antilla’s laboratory and office at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology (SPST) in Tianjin University (TJU).

Duties for lab manager:

• Manage the purchase of chemicals and manage lab chemical holdings

• Manage the purchase and storage of laboratory equipment and supplies

• Help the laboratory members (postdocs and others) settle into their housing, help with the set-up of their utilities, their paperwork with the department, arrange meetings, and other related duties

Duties for personal assistant:

• Assist Professor Antilla with travel, office supplies, paperwork, translation, group correspondence when he is away, and other related duties

• Be a contact to the SPST staff or TJU departments on behalf of the group and Professor Antilla

• Attend some meetings on or off campus to help take notes

Necessary Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate bachelors student OR close to a pending graduation OR a Masters degree

• Chinese and English (spoken and written) competency

• Part time if taking ONE of the above positions. Full time if taking BOTH positions

Compensation:

• Part time is 1,000 RMB per month for each position (for 5-10 hours per week)

• If full time, and taking BOTH positions it is 4,000 to 5,000 RMB per month, plus insurance (depending on qualifications of the applicant)

• Help by Professor Antilla on international applications or on future job or educational placement
