Professor Baile Chen’s research group is seeking a research associate in the areas of optoelectronics semiconductor device. The successful candidate will work independently on novel projects involving the design, process, characterization of optoelectronics device. Building and maintaining laboratory facilities and infrastructure is an important part of the job.

The position is available immediately for two year, with extension as an option based on productivity and funding. The position will report to Dr Baile Chen.

Qualifications:

A PhD in electrical engineering, optics, nanoscience, or materials science.

The applicant show have a good command of both spoken and written English and is expected to demonstrate creativity. The applicant who have solid experience in any of the following research areas are especially welcome.

High speed III-V semiconductor photodiodes and laser diodes area.

Nano-photonics, meta-materials or meta-surface area (with either theoretical or experimental background )

III-V semiconductor growth with strong MBE experience
