Position Summary
NYU Shanghai is looking for a short-term contracted Fellow, Library Assistant for the following Summer and Fall semester (May/June to December 2021).
The Fellow, Library Assistant will work in the Access and User Services Team to help manage library space and collections, provide critical user services such as circulation, course reserves, and ILL, coordinate materials paging between different buildings and answer user inquiries about library collections and services.
This position provides a rare insight of how a research library operates and is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain new skills and professional development.
Qualifications
Required Education
● Bachelor’s Degree or above.
Required Experience
● Relevant working experience in international higher education is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
● The successful candidates should have strong service orientation, be willing to learn new systems and approaches and adapt to changes quickly;
● Proficiency in English.
