Research Scientist/postdoc positions are available in the Department of Thoracic Head/Neck Medical Oncology and Department of Genomic Medicine MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston working on translational lung cancer genomic research. The candidate will be working with a multidisciplinary team involving clinicians, biologists, bioinformaticians and biostatisticians to study the clinical implications of lung cancer genomic findings.
The candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D and a strong background in genomics/genetics or cancer biology. Experience working with next generation sequencing data (mutation analysis, copy number, mutation spectrum, mutation signature, pathway analysis etc.) and knowledge in one or more of the following programming languages such as R, Perl, Python, C/C++ or JAVA are desired.
